transition
and reinterpretation: A Day Project
Based on a day spent walking through the city of London and was also
created in a day to reflect the time of that experience, with a focus
on giving the viewer the experience of being there. excerpt
from review in FUCKING GOOD ART based in Rotterdam:
The Rotterdam based USA born artist Laurie Halsey Brown has an interesting
online project that we like to bring under your attention. On the
13th of March Laurie was flying from Amsterdam to London for the day
to take a walk through London based on Transition and Reinterpretation,
written by the London based short story writer James Miller. Laurie
presents this project online. In order to read the text you have to
scroll through the website and you will encounter pictures related
to the text. This concept is a beautiful translation of the walk and
makes you feel like actually walking through the city.

space: a working studio that focuses on space and place as a
function of time. When you enter the studio, you see the floor
and fragments of the space via its north/south/east/west sides. These
elements change relative to the time of day wherever you are
[according to your computers clock]. By moving the compass,
you gain a larger perception of the space and an awareness of
place[s].Clicking the text of different places within the windows
of the studio will take you to many evolving site-responsive
projects that were created internationally. |

"As the title WitchCraft already
says, the show refers to the magic. But not only connected
to the included art work, the use of technology and the transformation
of contents into a web compatible expression, but also to six
talented but most individually working female artists who use
their craft to create some magic moments, witches in the best
sense of the word, who play with their spiritual power in order
to inspire the audience." -curated by Agricola de Cologne
